Meet our Counselor
Kerry Pfaff, Pastoral Counselor MCT
Kerry is passionate about promoting healthy marriages—relationships where wounded hearts are healed, hope is restored, and through Christ, couples can achieve all that God intended for them. He believes that people need a safe, non-judgmental, grace-filled environment to share their stories—a place where they can be loved back to life and learn to thrive in their true identity in Christ.
As a young man, Kerry worked as a hairdresser in Scottsdale, AZ, where he developed a rapport with people from all walks of life. He went through a painful divorce, which ignited a lifelong desire to help himself and others build healthy, supportive, joyful, and lasting relationships. In 1989, Kerry married Teresa and became a father to her four sons. They moved to North Idaho, where they ran a successful small business for 22 years while also serving as lay ministers and receiving training in biblical counseling.
In 2011, Kerry and Teresa joined Grace Christian Fellowship, where they eventually grew into leadership roles. Kerry pursued his Master’s in Christian Therapy, which he completed in 2016 at the age of 68. He often encourages others by saying, “Don’t let age be an excuse,” and he is now considering pursuing his doctoral degree.
Kerry and Teresa currently live in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Teresa also works as a family and parenting counselor. Together, they enjoy hosting gatherings with their children, six wonderful grandchildren, and friends.
Our Counseling Approach
Each individual is unique, so a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling is ineffective. Our belief in Jesus Christ as the Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6) shapes my guidance, as we draw from God’s wisdom and biblical principles in my therapy practices.
We aim to support clients in self-discovery, personal growth, and developing spiritual, emotional, and mental health tools to face current and future challenges. We create a safe environment for individuals to express their authentic selves and confront painful experiences with courage.
Life’s difficulties can lead to transformation when trust in God is placed at the forefront, enabling healing and peace. We respect the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of all clients, treating them with dignity regardless of their spiritual journey.
We provide a FREE 30-minute consultation to help you determine if we are a good fit for you. After that, we offer 50-minute counseling sessions at a rate of $120, available for both telehealth and in-person appointments.

Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide you with an itemized superbill for potential reimbursement.
Do you offer a consultation?
Yes, we offer a 30-minute FREE phone consultation to you at no cost. Your counselor will call you at the time of your appointment.
Are you HIPAA complaint?
We are fully compliant with HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information (PHI). We implement all necessary measures to ensure the privacy and security of your data.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and there are times when you may need to cancel an appointment on short notice. Our counselors’ schedules fill up quickly, and we want to ensure that we can accommodate all our clients. To help us do this, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Thank you for your understanding!
